Accomplished maritime professional arrives

Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) is excited to welcome a highly accomplished and experienced maritime industry professional to its executive team in mid March 2020.

Damian Tully has been awarded the General Manager, Operations role reporting to CEO Dr Rochelle Macdonald, “we are really looking forward to Damian commencing with the port, bringing his extensive leadership and management experience to our organisation and the wider Mid West”.

Mr Tully is currently National Operations Manager for Serco’s Fleet Marine Services Contract. Together with his wife Susie, they will relocate back to WA after spending the last 12 months in Sydney.

“We are really looking forward to coming back to our home state. The opportunity to further my career and be back in WA was too big to pass up.

“MWPA has a very good reputation in the Australian maritime industry as an organisation leading the way with its practices, that’s an exciting environment to be involved in at any level.

“I value continual improvement across an organisation, implementation of quality training and aids, effective leadership, and consistent stakeholder communication. My greatest sense of achievement arrives when this results in developing employees into higher performing teams.” Mr Tully said.

Damian Tully commences as General Manager, Operations on Monday 16th March 2020.

He has previously worked for Rivtow Marine in Port Headland as Operations Manager, and Chevron Australia in Onslow as Marine Operational Excellence Advisor. Prior to his move to Sydney, he was based in Perth with Serco.
