Mid West Ports CEO, Damian Tully said “Entering its third year, the Mid West Ports NFP Partnership Program aims to develop meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships within our community through capacity-building opportunities.”

The NFP Partnership Program enables Mid West Ports to establish three-year partnerships with carefully selected not-for-profit organisations in the region that are deemed to align with Mid West Ports organisational values.

Mr Tully said “This program provides a cash component and an in-kind contribution for each of the three years of the program to the successful NFP, providing capacity-building opportunities, organisation support and enabling a strong relationship to be built between Mid West Ports and the successful organisations”.

Mid West Ports 2023 NFP partner was awarded to ATLAS, an access and inclusion organisation focusing on sport, recreation and leisure activities.  ATLAS demonstrated value alignment and a clear understanding of their priorities and vision for the partnership.

ATLAS Executive Officer, Zane D’Mello said “ATLAS were thrilled to be advised they were selected as the 2023 NFP Partnership Program recipient. We have been working on a number of opportunities with the port, and we are very grateful for their ongoing support.”

“ATLAS achieve improvements in access and inclusion working both with people with disabilities and with organisers and developers directly. This two-way process is designed to bring people together to enable better decisions about how we make a better community now and in the future.

“Working with the port has been an excellent experience, their support and willingness to help and advise is greatly appreciated.  It’s a brilliant program, and I’d encourage other NFPs to look at applying.”

Applications open on Wednesday, 1st November and close on Friday, 22nd December 2023.

The three-year partnership will extend for the calendar years of 2024, 2025 and 2026.
