Mid West Ports Authority will welcome the Silver Muse to berth 3 on Monday as the luxury cruise ship makes its inaugural call to the Port of Geraldton.
The cruise ship is expected to arrive at 8am from Fremantle with 596 passengers and 408 crew onboard.
Many of the passengers will be welcomed ashore by dedicated Cruise Ship Meet & Greet Volunteers, before they set out for a day exploring the region.
MWPA Acting Chief Executive Officer Sandra Pigdon said as usual passengers would be provided with information on some uniquely Mid West experiences to enjoy.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming the passengers and crew onboard the Silver Muse to Geraldton,” she said.
“Many of our cruise ship passengers have opted to visit some of our unique local attractions during their short stay, including the Abrolhos Islands, St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Kalbarri Gorges and Oakabella Homestead.
“We also make sure they have plenty of information about our local eateries, retailers and events.
“We would encourage all our local businesses to make the most of their visit.”
The Silver Muse is the fourth cruise ship to visit Geraldton already this year.
She is expected to depart for Bali at about 6pm on Monday
Locals will be able to catch a glimpse of her departure from the viewing platform at the Esplanade.
