Schedules Rates represent the standard port charges compliant with statutory requirements as at publication. Effective 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

Vessel Charges:

Vessel Charges will be calculated on the Gross Registered Tonnage of the Vessel and charged to the Ship via the Agent. Vessel Charges are inclusive of access to the channel and harbour, pilotage, mooring (where required) and the use of Shore Tensioning Units at the discretion of the Harbour Master. Vessel Charges are exclusive of towage services.

Each Ship Charge covers one movement in and one movement out of the Harbour. Vessels that require multiple movements in and out of the harbour will be subject to additional Shift to Anchor Fees.

Where a vessel movement in and out of the Harbour is solely for Port Convenience and/or evacuation of the Harbour due to weather impacts, the Harbour Master will apply the shift to Anchor Fee - Port Convenience for each movement to or from the anchorage.

Where a vessel movement in and out of the Harbour is for Shipper or Vessel Convenience the Harbour Master will apply the Shift to Anchor Fee - Shipper Convenience for each movement to or from the anchorage.

The Shift Ship Charge relates to each movement of a vessel within the Harbour.

Berth Occupation Charge:

For all MWPA Operated Berths (Currently B4, B5, B6), the Berth Hire Charge will apply per hour of occupation of the berth and will be invoiced to the vessel through its appointed agent.

The Berth Occupation Charge will apply to B3 for non-grain vessels, or vessels that have completed grain loading and await alongside for other cargo/berth availability.

If a vessel is required to berth early and/or depart a berth late due to MWPA's operational requirements (Port Convenience), Berth Hire may be discounted at the discretion of the Harbour Master.

Wharfage Charge:

The Wharfage Charge for all cargoes is calculated on the revenue tonnes* loaded or unloaded and charged to the importer or exporter of the cargo. This charge is solely for use of the wharf and does not include charges for any loading or unloading service.

*A ‘revenue tonne’ being a mass of 1,000 kilograms or a volume of 1 cubic metre or 1 kilolitre, whichever is the greater.

Berth 4 & 5 Ship Loading Charges:

The Ship Loading Charge for bulk cargoes utilising the Bulk Handling Facility on Berth 4 or 5 is calculated in relation to the revenue tonnes loaded and charged to the importer or exporter of the cargo.

Ship Loading - Berth 4 Tiers will be determined for each product dependent on an assessment of the exporter's product and product care requirements.

Berth 4 Truck Unloader Fee:

The Truck Unloader Fee applies to all cargo requiring access to the new MWPA Operated Truck Unloader (currently under
development) connected to the Ship Loading Circuit at Berth 4.

Road Levy:

The Road Levy will be applied to all cargo accessing the Port’s road network for export via Berth 5.

Rail Terminal Charges:

The Train Unloaded Charge is applicable to all cargoes received ex train via the MWPA operated train unloader infrastructure and includes delivery to the nominated conveyor connected shed.

The Rail Terminal Access Fee is applicable to all trains accessing the MWPA rail infrastructure.

Sundry, Additional & Laydown Charges:

From time to time, you may be charged extra fees and expenses for additional resources and/or equipment. These fees are price on application (POA).

Trading Terms:

Trading terms are strictly 14 days from date of invoice. Interest charges at a rate equivalent to the published CBA Overdraft Index Rate +3% (CBA Interest Rates Publication) will apply on all overdue accounts.
