At Mid West Ports, we're passionate about connecting our community with the Port of Geraldton and showcasing the important role it plays in our region.
We understand that different groups have different interests and needs, which is why we offer the opportunity to arrange custom Port Tours for schools, community groups and organisations.
Whether you're planning an educational excursion, a Seniors Week activity or a special group outing, we'd love to work with you to create a Port experience that suits your group.
How it works?
For custom group tours, your organisation will need to arrange and provide a bus and licensed bus driver. Mid West Ports will provide a knowledgeable tour guide to accompany your group and share insights into Port operations, facilities and our maritime industry.
All custom tours are subject to operational requirements, staff availability and security arrangements.
What do we need from you?
As the Port of Geraldton is a maritime security regulated facility, all visitors must be registered before entering the Port.
To help us coordinate your visit, we require:
- Visitor details: A completed Visitor Registration Form listing the first and last names of everyone attending, including students, teachers, accompanying adults and the bus driver. This is due 1 week before your proposed tour date.
- Identification: Identification details for accompanying adults, teachers and the bus driver, where applicable. For children, the Identification Type, ID Number and Mobile Number fields can be left blank.
- Visitor roles: In the Notes section of the form, please identify each person as a student, teacher, accompanying adult or bus driver.
- Bus driver requirements: Please advise whether your driver holds a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). If they do, please provide their MSIC number. If not, their driver's licence details will be required.
