Executive Leadership Team

The Mid West Ports Authority Executive Team bring a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and experience to the table.

Responsible for steering Mid West Ports to achieving the Strategic Plan, modelling a high standard of ethical behaviour, and embedding the organisation values into the workforce.

Chief Officers and Executive Managers report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, who in turn is governed by the Mid West Ports Board of Directors.

Damian Tully

Chief Executive Officer 

Damian Tully joined Mid West Ports Authority in March 2020 and was appointed CEO in March 2022.  

Mr Tully is an accomplished maritime executive with over 20 years of experience leading operations both at sea and in ports.  

Responsible for the continued growth and sustainability of Mid West Ports, Damian is focused on ensuring the organisation continues to safely deliver quality infrastructure and services for the benefit of regional WA. 

Damian holds a Masters of Business Administration in Maritime Logistics and Management, a Graduate Diploma in Defence Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Management and an Advanced Diploma in Work, Health & Safety.  Damian is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy, the AICD Company Directors Course and is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.

Yasmin Wardrope

Chief Financial Officer

Yasmin Wardrope joined Mid West Ports Authority as the Chief Financial Officer in February 2026, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience across complex, capital-intensive, and regulated environments. She brings a depth of international experience from senior appointments in Australia and the United States, most recently with Chevron Corporation. 

Widely recognised for her inclusive and collaborative leadership and strong commercial acumen, Yasmin translates complex business and financial challenges into clear, practical outcomes. She provides strategic leadership across finance, commercial and procurement functions, organisational capability, advisory, and the delivery of large-scale capital projects. Partnering across the organisation, she drives operational excellence, champions continuous improvement, empowers high-performing teams, fosters accountability, and embeds the governance required for long-term financial resilience.

Yasmin is passionate about delivering sustainable outcomes that drive Geraldton’s Port growth, boost regional prosperity, and deliver meaningful benefits to the community.  She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance), and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), with advanced leadership certification in Capital Stewardship, Capital Project Development and Execution, Behavioural Change Management, and Agile Leadership.

Laura Reibel

Executive Manager Corporate Affairs

Laura joined Mid West Ports Authority in February 2026 and leads the Corporate Affairs function.


She brings more than 20 years’ experience in corporate affairs, including over 15 years in the government sector and three years in the ports industry. Her experience spans government relations, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications across complex infrastructure environments.


Laura is focused on building strong, trusted relationships between the Port, government, industry and community to support sustainable regional growth and long-term economic development.

Wendy Trotter

Acting Chief Environmental, Social & Governance Officer

Leigh Amos

Chief Operating Officer

Leigh Amos joined Mid West Ports Authority as Chief Operating Officer in January 2025 to lead the Operations, Maritime, Maintenance and Engineering functions across The Port. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Amos spent more than 25 years in the Energy Industry in both Australia and New Zealand and has extensive experience managing Operations in large and complex industrial environments.

Widely recognised as a situational leader who fosters a culture of safety, inclusion, continuous improvement and excellence across all areas, Leigh has also developed a strong reputation as a transformative executive leader with a proven track record of successfully leading large scale transformation programs by placing the impact on people first and foremost in any change.

Leigh has a Master of Business Administration with a Major in Leadership and a Bachelor of Engineering Technology with a Major in Instrumentation and Control.

Amir Miri

Executive Manager Projects and Technology 

Amir Miri joined Mid West Ports Authority as Executive Manager Projects in October 2023.  

Mr Miri is an experienced senior project manager with over 24 years of experience in construction, mining and oil and gas industries. Having managed some major projects including roads, rails, bridges, marine structures, and refineries for tier one contractors both within Australia and overseas, Mr Miri brings a wide range of experience to Mid West Ports to assist with safe, efficient, and successful execution and delivery of Major and Minor Capital and Operational projects for Mid West Ports.  

Mr Miri has Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Construction and Master of Engineering Management and is a member of Engineers Australia. 

Dave Spencer

Project Director PMaxP

Dave Spencer’s engagement with Mid West Ports commenced in September 2021 as Port Maximisation Project (PMaxP), Project Director.

Mr Spencer has over 30 years’ experience in delivering marine, civil, structures, and related infrastructure projects including in the roles of Operations Manager, Project Manager and Project Director. His areas of expertise are in specialised constructability, project management, and risk review advice to strategic projects.

Mr Spencer has overseen numerous projects and client portfolios presenting various project challenges including Design & Construct, ECI, and Lump Sum tenders. He has a strong focus on management through systems implementation and process control to accurately identify project risks or management approaches within the context of the project delivery.

Dave has a Diploma in Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science, Construction Management and Economics.

Tony Corbett

Chief Commercial Officer

Tony Corbett was appointed CCO in October 2025 having joined Mid West Ports Authority in December 2022 with a focus on managing customers, revenue, land and delivering growth.  

Tony has over 35 years of port industry experience gained within a range of port authorities and terminal operations within the UK, continental Europe and Australian markets, with specialist knowledge of free trade zones and port-centric distribution and logistics.   

Tony is a Business and Supply Chain Management graduate of Liverpool Business School, has graduated through both the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and Institute of Safety Management and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
